They'd never forget the day,the stranger rode into town
Watched my recently purchased DVD of "The Outlaw Josie Wales," one of the best westerns made that did not have John Wayne in it. Clint Eastwood has turned out to be one heck of a director!

Cahill: U.S. Marshal.
It was every bit as good as I remembered and even better. You can read my moronic thoughts on the respective topic.

Watched an old JW one this weekend called Wind in the Wasteland.
Not one of the Duke's better efforts but it was still fun to watch.

Oh are you a fan? The first movie I saw him in was Wyatt Earp which has some gorgeous music and cinematography. But he reminds of Michael J. Fox, so I have a hard time believing him as a tough frontier marshal. It's like John Fiedler (Voice of Winnie The Pooh's Piglet) as an action hero.
Costner's just like any other actor - he's made some very good movies and he's made some real stinkeroos. It all evens out in the end.
He seems to do best when he sticks to Westerns. "Dances With Wolves" and "Open Range" were both excellent movies and "Silverado" wasn't bad.
De gustibus non est disputandum
I am not denying that, I loved Wyatt Earp but Costner just didn't impress upon me that he was Wyatt Earp. And I did enjoy his Robin Hood. But he's not someone I could sit down and watch hour after hour after hour of.
Saw a few interesting episodes of Gunsmoke over the weekend. One had Richard Basehart in it, and another had James Coburn in it. Not bad at all.
Anxiously awaiting the arrival of Season 1 of Daniel Boone.
