    Hi JWfan,

If Holland is 1 hour in front of the UK,
by my reckoning, the times, that were stated,
    will be 10:00pm-02:00am, Holland time!
    I think!!!!!!

    smokey,

Here is a link to World Clock, which should help you make the connection. I think it is about 6 or 7 in the morning for you, if I am figuring correctly. You are 18 hours ahead of me, so 4 PM Eastern time Sunday afternoon is 1 PM Pacific time (our time), which I think translates to 7 AM Monday morning for you (the rest of us will still be in Sunday!).

    I hope that helps!

As you can all see by the banner across the top of every page of the message board, we are hoping to have a big booming chat Sunday afternoon (US time) to kick off the new year, and to commemorate the 3rd anniversary of this message board.

We hope as many as possible will join in the festivities!

We started this new topic so we could move several posts from another topic, to keep it more ON topic :D ! As you can see, those other posts were made before this one, which is why they come before this one. Does this make any sense??

    Hi,
For me it is not only the problem of time. I'm afraid that I can't use chat, because I never did it before.
    But the idea sounds great!

    Hi everyone

It is with great regret That I will be unable to join you in the
new year chat fest as I'll be spending the new year in the wilds
of Donegal. We have been going for years, my maternal grandparents
came from there over one hundred years ago and we have cousins we
stay with. It's always like a wagon train, this year there are between 6
    and 8 cars going.

We will heading up there in the morning and not returning until monday
evening. But you can be assured that I'll be thinking of you all as we bring
in the new year because tomorrow afternoon I'll be making a big pot of Bill's
Duke's chilli and some of Mrs C's hot corn bread (both are now big favorites
when we have any kind of get together). We will enjoy them along with vast
quantities of Guinness and a wee drop of Irish whiskey.

At midnight in Ireland (GMT) I will rise my glass of whatever I have at
that moment and toast all of you, my friends from around the world and
wish you all a very happy 2006.

I hope as many as can join in with the on-line party.

    Best wishes

    Emmanuel.

I'll try one of those black beers....THE QUIET MAN.

    Dear sweet Senta,

If you can type, you can do the chat. It's not any harder than the message board, but what happens is that when you are typing, all conversation is in real time, all on the same screen.

Just click on the Duke Chat right now and check it out. I promise you, it's really easy and fun. Some people have fun just "listening to" (i.e., reading) the conversation.

Senta, the chat is really easy to do! just click the link and then type away!

Hope to see you all there - I will be but not sure of when I will be stopping by.

    Vicki :)

If you can post on the board then you can post in the chat. It justs runs in real-time.

    Hi,
As this week, is 3rd.Aniversary week,
    it seemed appropriate to celebrate,
    with a SPECIAL Movie review,
and I couldn't think of a more Special movie
to put in the aniversary spotlight than,
