    Re: Big Jake (1971)

Big Jake was one of maybe 10 or so Duke movies I ever saw before Cable TV came along in 1980. I saw: Big Jake, Rio Lobo, Rio Bravo, The Alamo, The Green Berets, True Grit, Rooster Cogburn, The Longest Day, The Flying Tigers, The Hellfighters, In Harms Way, The Sons of Katie Elder, Hatari and maybe one or two more?? Where I lived--they were NOT imaginative with showing much more. >:-(( & //:=>(

Watch the scene where he's waiting in the carriage house with that pitchfork in his hands hiding from Glenn Corbett.

He's definitely got his father's eyes. It's like looking at a miniature JW!

I guess ol' Ethan was a terror on the set tho. Being Duke's son, and knowing how important his Dad was, let him get away with pretty much everything!

I always thought the Ethan didn't favor Duke so much until that close up, but yea he does favour Duke along the eyes. Great picture.

    Thank you for these photos.
On land, it's JW, but to fall from a horse, I think it is not him because his face is hidden ...
