Trouble Along The Way. Not one of my favorite John Wayne films, but all in all its not bad. I like to watch it every now and then. It's a fairly decent little romantic/comedy/drama film.

    Talking

Thirteen Days about the Cuban missile crisis. I think this is a really well made picture. It really conveys the tension and urgency that surrounded everyone and just how close we came to an all out war. I highly recommend it. :D

I watched "Inside Man", "The Punisher" and "Fast Times at Ridgemount High". "Fast times" kills me with that Spicolli guy!! I think that's the only Sean Penn movie that I actually like. And he plays a complete stoner!!

Watched yesterday The Dirty Dosen for the first time. I know that Duke was invited, but Lee Marvin is great in his part.

There is some funny things about Soviet times and I like book much more then movie. Had read a lot of Clancy books recently and enjoy them, but he is not so great expert in Russia as he thinks himself he is.

    Hi

I watched Rommel Desert Fox last night with James Mason playing Rommel.

It was directed by Henry Hathaway and also had in the cast Richard boone, Sir cedric Hardwicke and George Macready. In the supporting cast were American actors that you would normally see playing cavalry troopers, certainly I recognised the blonde soldier from the TV series Boots and Saddles of the fifties, and another famous supporting player featured as Doolittles mate in My Fair Lady.

It is a fact that when these films were made in black and white so quickly after the ending of the Second World War how much action footage could be used. If you added it up probably threequarters of the film was taken up with original action footage.

    Regards

    Arthur
