First off, have you ever wondered what famous people were born on your birthday? I have. Here are a few:

Born on May 11th.

Doug McClure (1935) called home on: Feb 5/1995. Too young IMO.

Mort Sahl (1927 and still living.

Bernard Fox (1927 and thankfully, still living. He played Col Crittenden on Hogan's Heroes among other great roles and was in a John Wayne movie (Big Jake) as that Sheepherder.

Denver Pyle (1920) passed away on: Dec 25th 1997. Was in The Alamo as Thimblerig and in The Horse Soldeirs as a Confederate soldier/deserter. Also known as: Uncle Jesse on The Dukes of Hazzard.

Foster Brooks (1912) died: Dec 20/2001.

Phil Silvers (1911) called home on: Nov 1/1985.

Dick Curtis (1902) faded into history much too young on: Jan 3/1952. He was known for being a villian in many-a-western as well as in many-a-Three Stooges episode.

A few famous entertainers who passed away on my birthday:

Timothy Carey (March 11/1929) called home on: May 11/1994.

Lex Barker (May 8/1919) died on: May 11/1973. Played Tarzan in a few movies and was a good classic actor.

Robert Fellows (Aug 23/1903) left us on: May 11/1969. He was part of the Wayne-Fellows team. In case you don't know which WAYNE i'm talking about?????? Fellows helped produce many of John Waynes films including: Hondo and quite a few others.


And of course, not to leave out John Wayne, May 25th and Gary Cooper May 7th.
