Here's a good moment to bring back my topic: "Chesty" - the very last collaboration of JW and Pappy Ford - a film somewhat lost and seldom included in the list of their films. Nobody's found it yet?
Would I be mistaken in saying that Duke made a guest apperance in an episode of Ward Bonds Wagon Train (He played the same part he took in How The West Was Won General Sherman )I think also that Ford directed this episode.
"Backwards. I always go backwards when I'm backing away." Another classic line from Duke showing his ability to deliver humourous lines when needed
Hello Karl. Let me be the first to welcome you to the board. You will find a great bunch of people here. Come in often and feel free to share Duke with us. Now, for the John Ford question? Ford made 31 movies in which Duke was in or involved in. The runner up would be R.N. Bradbury, who directed 13 of Duke's "B" movies. Is that the answer you are looking for? dukefan1
"I couldn't go to sleep at night if the director didn't call 'cut'. "
