She may have been charged with closing the mining industry by taking on an defeateing the National Union of Mineworkers but they had to be destroyed if the country was not going to be controlled by anarchists.
I am not a fan butshe may have considered at her fall from grace that she was bigger than anybody else and for that reason she had to go.

Guess what, Art? I didn't live in the North of England.

Shows you how dumb I am....sure some of you knew that already. However, I always considered Margaret Thatcher in a favorable light......of course that is only because of what I read about her. Had no idea she was anything but. Always learning something new. Too Bad.......I liked her.....now, I don't know!

I still like her and think those punks who made a joke of her passing should rot for a few decades in Rikers Prison. End of story for me.

Yeah, me too. I even had records (remember them) of his routines. The funniest man that ever was. His visits with Carson on the Tonight Show made me lose sleep on school nights. It was worth it.

I liked Winters in anything I saw him in especially as the dimwit in: It's A Mad Mad Mad Mad World. Rest in Peace Jonathan, the World just got a lot less funnier.

I think I may even still have at least one of his Maude Frickert records. I know I bought a couple of them when he was so popular.

Very sad day indeed. RIP Jonathan. We will all miss you very much.

His character in that movie was my favorite. Especially in the scenes with Arnold Stang and Melvin Kaplan and their destruction of the gas station. That was classic. Also, when they're digging for the money and he grabs Phil Silvers and picks him up and throws him out of the hole.
