Besides True Grit and a few other JW Movies, I must confess I am a huge Russell Crowe fan and I have watched 3:10 to Yuma and The Quick and the Dead way more than 10 times..I think he makes a great cowboy..Like to see him do more, maybe a follow up to 3:10 to Yuma..

Being too old, too lazy and too technically challenged to find "what was the last western you watched?" thread, I'll toss it here because it is a film I've watched probably 100 times since the 1960s - "The Professionals".

I've been playing with my new Blu Ray player, tried this title out today and it was glorious. The colors were deep and resonant, the sound crisp, and some of the Spanish/Mexican lines had subtitles in English which added new information to an upstate New York gringo.

    Hi Gorch,
Totally agree with you on The Professionals. I too watched it recently on Blu ray and the transfer is truly wonderful. All this a Claudia Cardinale too!

Re: Films You Watched Again and again Over the Years (10 times or more)

There are probably 30+ John Wayne movies I've watched 10+ times. Other than those Josie Wales is a personal favorite along with The Mag 7, Dances With Wolves, the odd numbered Indiana Jones movies, the original Star Wars trilogy, Casablanca, Costner's Robin Hood, the first three Rocky movies and First Blood, some of the Star Trek movies

On the lighter side Blazing Saddles, Major League (not the sequels), Bull Durham, Slap Shot, Fast Break, and Smokey and the Bandit

I'm sure there are others that I can't think of right now.

Edit- Forgot White Christmas, Miracle on 34th Street, Sound of Music and Wizard of Oz and I refuse to list the Disney movies and their kind that I've watched over and over through four kids.

I could watch the classics hundreds of times, more so than the current ones. But I did like a lot The King's Speech. Maybe I liked it a lot because of the history. But I've seen this movie more than 10 times. Sometimes you find some current ones that you want to see many times.

    Cheers Hondo

Sharon, your little bloke is very busy with a lot of adventures. He does have good taste. Must get it from his mother. Great movies there.

    Cheers Hondo
