Re: Duke's Productions- Escort West (1958)

Escort West is a 1958 film
starring Victor Mature and Elaine Stewart

Produced by Duke's brother Robert E. Morrison, for
    John Wayne's Batjac Productions.
As could be expected 'Pals' of Duke in attendance,
William H. Clothier on camera.also starring,
Noah Beery Jr.,Leo Gordon , Harry Carey Jr.
Slim Pickens, Ken Curtis ,Chuck Hayward

This trite, low-budget Western stars Victor Mature as Ben Lassiter, a former Confederate soldier who is traveling to the Western U.S. with his daughter, Abbey (Reba Waters), just after the Civil War. Their journey is interrupted by a group of Union soldiers on patrol and the recent war casts its shadow over this encounter. Beth Drury (Elaine Stewart) is riding along with the group of Union soldiers and soon she and Lassiter become romantically entangled. Throw in her rabid anti-Confederate sister and a few hostile Native Americans, and the story is complete with the usual characters and antagonisms

Oh, yeah, story was formula hero western and nothing special other than for the long list of western
legends like Slim Pickens and Harry Carrey, Jr. and the drama queen antics of Ms. Dommergue.
She was surely the film world's best pouter.

Amazon only has one copy available at $29.99, Which, I guess would not be bad if you lived in region 2 and spoke Spanish, since it is in Spanish for region 2.
