  • Terry Wilson is a good friend and fellow actor/stuntman,
    Frank McGrath,
    Terry was best known for his role in the long running popular
    TV series Wagon Train, as Bill Hawks.
    When Bond died, it was Wilson who broke the news to Bond's best friend,
    John Wayne.

    It has been said that they both cried together on the phone.
    Wilson, along with
    McGrath, Harry Carey, Jr. (Dobe),and Ken Curtis,
    later Festus Haggen on Gunsmoke, were Bond's pallbearers.

  • LOL, Just noticed while looking for pictures, that what Ethan posted on Pals of the Saddle Terry Wilson is the exact copy of what I posted on the net! Wonders never cease. Wasn't much about Terry then. I am going back and put in the part about his role in Hondo, the Searchers and quite a few others. etc. Still can't wait to get to see Stagecoach and Weight of Command, (Wagon Train episodes.....dang that Netflix!) That was a surprise! Keith
