We all know that John Wayne was quoted as saying "Never say your sorry. It's a sign of weakness." However, I'm sure in all the movies he's made that he has at sometime said "Sorry" "I'm Sorry" or something that implied he was sorry. I have a bet going and need an answer by this Friday 03/26. Can anyone out there shed some light?

Though I'm not positive, I'm almost sure he said "I'm sorry" to either Ron Howard or Lauren Bacall in "The Shootist". And he probably said "I'm sorry" in other films as well. He says sorry to O'Hara in The Quuiet Man after she says (not quoted exactly) "no turnips, potatoes, etc on the place,". Then he says "no children", and he says, "sorry".
